Eston Music Festival Adjudication Sessions
Join us for three days filled with piano, strings, voice, and spoken word performances by Eston’s young artists. Participants perform in registered classes in front of their peers and an adjudicator for comments, marks, and awards.

Eston Music Festival Final Concert and Awards Ceremony
Join us as we enjoy the highlights of our 2025 Eston Music Festival. This is a fabulous evening of piano, strings, voice, and spoken word performances by our best young musicians and orators, and a chance to celebrate the, as they accept their awards and scholarships for the week. Congratulations winners!
RCM Practical Examinations
The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) is an internationally recognized music education institution that provides resources and supports for students and teachers, and facilities standardized examinations and certification for musicians. Their mission is to “develop human potential” through the arts. Visit rcmusic.com to read more about their work.
There are many exam sessions through out the year, but most of my students choose to prepare for a June practical exam. Theory exams are also available. See rcmusic.com/learning/examinations for details.
Practical exam students prepare at least 3 pieces (4 or more in higher levels), selected technical skills (e.g. scales, chords, arpeggios), and sight and ear skills (e.g. sight playing, audiation, rhythm exercises), all at a high degree of competency. Exams are a major undertaking and a serious accomplishment for students of all ages!
The deadline to register for June practical exams is March 4th, 2025. Please contact me if you are interested.
Jubilee Lodge Recital
Our second Lodge recital of the year! We love playing for these folks who are always so welcoming and supportive of our young pianists. Students will each play a couple tunes; maybe some they’re preparing for the Music Festival or Exams, or ones they’ve picked up in the last few weeks. Can’t wait to share them!

Last day to register for the 2025 Eston Music Festival.
The Eston Music Festival is a days long event showcasing Eston’s young musicians and orators. Participants perform within registered classes in front of their peers and an adjudicator for comments, marks, and awards.
Adjudication sessions are April 7th & 8th throughout the day. Final concert and awards ceremony is the evening of April 9th.

Christmas Recital
Let's get festive with everyone's favourite holiday tunes! We have many piano solos and duets in store, performed by my students and including (my personal favourite) some family duos!
Free admission. Doors open at 5:15pm.

Practice time on the grand piano will be available from 5:15pm to 5:45pm.
Dress for a recital; no sweatpants or muddy boots please.
Bring your own sheet music if you need it.
Please be quiet and respectful while others are performing.
Jubilee Lodge Christmas Rehearsal
A mini recital to celebrate the season with the residents at the Lodge, and to rehearse for our final Christmas Recital of 2024.
Canadian Contemporary Showcase in Rosetown
Join us in Rosetown for a weekend of music, fun, connection, and learning at the Canadian Contemporary Showcase. Students are invited to perform pieces by Canadian composers in a fun and casual festival, including adjudication, group music sessions, pizza lunch, and fun with friends!

Register online at estonpianolessons.ca/registration any time for our 2024-2025 piano lesson year. Lessons will begin October 7, 2024.

Spring Recital Week!
Date and times TO BE CONFIRMED for our Spring Recital day. We will choose a day this week that works for everyone.
We will have our Jubilee Lodge Recital and our community Spring Recital on the same day. We will meet at the lodge after school at 3:45 to play for the residents, then break for supper, and meet again around 7pm for an evening recital (usually at the Catholic Church).
Our Jubilee Lodge visit is casual (no fancy dress, etc.) but we will dress up for the community Spring Recital and follow a set program. Please bring your own sheet music if you need it.

The Canadian Contemporary Showcase in Rosetown is hosted by the West Central Registered Music Teachers Association (WCRMT). This competitive fesitval celebrates Canadian composers and the music they bring to our modern repertoire.
